Default 2 stage boxes 1 HDx card

Hi, If i was to use two stage boxes to get 64 lines off the stage and I have 1 HDx card, does channels 49-64 automatically get picked up by the card or must i use the 16 optional i/o?

Hi,

Inputs 49 through 64 need to be manually patched to the 16 HDx assignable outputs. This is normally done using the top of channel direct output (as patched on the Outputs > Directs tab of the Patchbay page).

Thanks. One further question. When the system says it has enough DSP for 14 plugins, does stereo processing use two of those?

You may want to double check that, I think what your seeing is that the system has 14 DSP slots available. Depending on the plug in efficiency you could run 30 to 70 with that many slots. I think I've got 25 instantiations of Crane Song Phoenix alone on one of my profiles. And to answer your question, No. (or I don't think so)

Thanks Scott, I am refering to the system setup window where you set how many mix engines, channels, fx returns etc your configuration will have. There it says 14 DSPs available for plugins. So if I understand you correctly, this doesnt mean your limited to 14 instances of plugins.

Thats is correct you may be using 4 mono Focusrite compressors and it may only take up one slot, Give me a call at work tomorrow if you like.

Glen.
