Any issues? Thinking of upgrading my laptop for Carbon .
M1 Max only works with Monterey, which is currently a big disaster. Do not go there yet, if your earnings depend on the system. For testing purposes it is good to have as secondary system, just to know when it becomes usable.

Thanks for the info! Is this only a disaster with the M1 MAX? are any of the new MacBooks solid with Carbon?

Thanks !

I am running Carbon on a brand new Mac mini m1 with 16GB of RAM. I started with PT2021.10, and installed 2021.12 when it became available. The M1 mini had Monterey 12.0.1 installed when I received it, and I just updated it to 12.1 in order to try to get Time Machine working properly. The upgrade fixed the TM issue (it wouldn't complete backups) and in my limited testing so far, it seems to be as stable as 12.0.1 was.

Monterey isn't officially supported yet, so if you have a choice, I'd stay clear for now. However, except for a few hiccups in getting it to recognize Carbon when I was first installing everything, and several of the Avid plugins not working (mostly from the Complete Plugin Bundle), it's doing really well so far.

Works excellent here on my Hackintosh with 10.15.7. Not one issue yet that I can recall.

Running pretty smooth on Catalina here on a 2019 15" MBP. Is there anything I am missing out on for not running BigSur or should I just hold out and wait for Monterey to be supported officially by Avid?

I would wait til ALL the Pro Audio software you use is ready for Monterey...which it is not yet.

My system is running well on Catalina (Except below ) But now that PT is supported on Monterey I am wondering about upgrading to 12.3 anybody done this ?

The (Except) is , my system is still experiencing not being able to consistently switch to a different sample rate for a new session (i.e like 44.1 to 96 etc.) without having to quit PT select the new sample rate in Mac Audio Midi and then relaunch PT
