Default Users of high channel count player/recorders.

Hi, I'm after some input from those using Pro Tools for large channel count (>48) analogue player/recorders.

It is my understanding the the 192I/O is limited to 16in/8out OR 8in/16out.

It seems that even though each card can handle 32I/O, it's only possible to use 24I/O analogue, and with a weird split across the two interfaces.

I wonder what setups people use for large scale player/recorders given these limitations?

With 6 192 I/O interfaces you can do 72in/72out, or 48in/96out. I do 64in/80out. Also, if you use outboard A/D or D/A you can attain 96in/96out.
