Default AAE 2 error when importing or playing audio

This started today out of nowhere just as I sat down to work.

Was using PT HD Native 11.1.3 or thereabouts this morning. Any file that I pulled into a session will result in an AAE 2 error on import, and that error will come up any time after that the new file is selected. The session will be unusable if a problem file is in the arrange window.

I've rebooted.
Trashed prefs using PT Prefs.
Upgraded to 11.2.1.
Tried new sessions adding one file at a time.
Tested files from local and network volumes.

The result is always the same.

Any ideas on what this can be?

Thanks in advance,

Late 2013 Mac Pro running 10.9.5
PT HD Native 11.2.1
Sessions are at 96k.

Are you able to preview the files in workspace without any session open?
What sample/bit rate are the files according to the workspace window?

Thanks for the reply Clutch.

When this happens, I can not preview the problem files in the workspace or anywhere else.

I am working at 96k. Files show that they are indeed 96k according to the workspace. Are you suspecting a SR discrepancy here?

I've not seen the error in a day or two, I worked around it somehow and just kept working without figuring out what happened.

Now PT is failing when importing mono files into a session. Stereo files seem fine.. ugh.

Going to do some searching here to see if anyone else has these issues. I'll try to have more info next time I post..

Are you dragging and dropping your audio to import it? (others are having the same issue on this forum).
Have you tried using the Import audio dialog instead?

I was dragging files in, will try the import option next time this comes up, thank you for the suggestion.

For now, trashing the prefs for PT 11 appears to have resolved my issues. This was a weird one though.
