Looking at the base model M2 Studio Max starting @ $2000, I'm so happy with my base M2 Mini (cost me around $1000) and my plan to stay with it until the 3nm M3's come along. It has all I need in terms of ports, memory, and computing power. But I'm sure Apple will sell lots these new macs. Even the $7000+ Mac Pro.

I feel the same way. These new M2 Studios are fine but more of a subtle stopgap until the next big jump arrives. 3nm would be a nice jump.

It’s a bit less silly! Top of the range, fully spec’d configuration is 4.5 times cheaper than the Intel equivalent was.

It's a $3,000 PCI expansion chassis!

Expansion chassis' has always been expensive. These ARM pro's however are not as ridiculously overpriced than the last Intels.

And not to mention the circa ~2006 memory pricing. Memory costs $0.0015 a megabyte today, yet Apple want almost 10 times that.
