Default New Sound Toys Reverb at NAMM

You know its Spring when the annual NAMM convention is underway. I'd love to be able to go just once, if only to see all the new toys everyone comes out with.

And speaking of toys...Sound Toys unveiled their new reverb plugin, Super Plate at NAMM. If you've used their Little Plate in the past, this is the same idea, only with much, much more. Check out the videos in the article link for more info, or simply go to the Sound Toys website. Price is $149, unless you have Little Plate, in which case upgrade to the new Super Plate for $59.

Haha

I like the electro-mechanical plates not digital SoundToys talks about and for me, $59 is a no-brainer!

ALSO: https://www.soundtoys.com/superplate-intro-namm-2023/
PRICING
SuperPlate will be sold individually for $149 MSRP or as a trade-up from Little Plate to SuperPlate for $59.
Soundtoys 5.4 will be available for $499 MSRP or as an upgrade from Soundtoys 5.3 to 5.4 for $59.
SuperPlate can be added to the Effect Rack plug-in for $59.

What benefits do you get upgrading from v5.3 to v5.4? Couldn't find anything about what comes with the v5.4 upgrade.

It's going to be free. So why care?

The PR states that it’s a $59 upgrade fee from v5.3 to v5.4.

I mean, that covers the cost of the new plugin, but I’m also curious what else the point update brings us.

Sorry, did not see that on their website. And they've usually kept same main number versions free.

Yep. I can’t remember the last time I paid for an update with Soundtoys.

I would happily pay the $59 to go from 5.3 to 5.4 if it meant Apple Silicon Native AAX.

EDIT: According to THIS Avid page, Sound Toys AAX are already Apple Silicon Native, but I can't find any mention of that on Sound Toys's site.
