Can I upgrade from PT Ultimate to PT Studio

Can I upgrade from PT Ultimate perpetual to PT Studio perpetual?
I no longer have any Avid hardware and just wondered if I could for $199 price.
I sold all Avid hardware awhile back.

Not that I am aware of. You can sell your perpetual Ultimate license (if so try to do it "properly" with a transfer through Avid). Look online to see what they sell for.

Then you can buy a new perpetual Studio, and yes it's cheaper to keep that up to date... if you want to do that all the time. The other option now is to not buy the update/support renewal until you want to/need to do that. Avid has listened and fixed the mess here, an update now also does a renewal.

Make sure you are looking at the new pricing (within the last weeks) from Avid for all this so you are clear on what you would save etc.
