Default Is this video card compatible?

I need a video card for my pc to run pro-tools. Here's the video card I plan on purchasing and I would like to know if it would be a smart buy. I know it's 32mb but I don't know if that will affect PT performance. Any advice?

I would bypass that card. Its really REALLY old. Try Newegg.com you can get something newer for around the same price that will have 2 DVI outputs so you have an option to add another moniter if you ever feel the need. Just my opinion. sure others will chime in.

I thought about adding another monitor but I think when I want to do that, I'll just get a splitter. How about this video card? I think this one looks pretty solid http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150431

I believe a splitter will just show a duplicate of the one screen, so it wont be of much use for pro tool since you need to streatch the desktop on to the other screen. Nvidia cards can cause problems, mine works fine with PT. I believe there is a list on which cards dont work well with PT. Personally I would suggest a 256mb card or even a 512. But above that can cause problems.
