Default Familiar with session strings? PLEASE HELP!!

I am trying to use an animator in kontact session strings……and when I have the articulator open, and I am holding don the key, I have the arpeggo pattern I want…..however, when I close the window, and plug these notes into pro tools…..the arpeggio is all choppy and missing notes….not the pattern i want at all, and sounding very non rythmic and random. WHY? If I put a long sustained note into protools, why does it not just play the same pattern that it did when i was tweaking it with the articulator widow open? I want rythm, not a bunch of random notes
