Help stop Funny clicking coming through

Hello,
I have an Mbox, and an ibook G4. For some reason I am getting these little clicks coming through into my sessions some times. They show up on the chanel inputs inside pro tools. There is nothing plugged into the mbox, and the gains are off, so no signal should be coming through. Someone told me it might be something to do with a clock? Something that it thinks there is another clock trying to control it? But I only have the mbox plugged in, no midi or anything. Does anyone know how to fix this?
