Default Fairlight

Why can't Avid come out with a more professional small controller like the Fairlight Desktop Console $3595 12faders and expandable?

S3 needs serious update!

They did. It’s called the Avid S1. You can get 16 faders for $2590 MSRP which leaves you with a little extra for the Dock as well.

How is less faders, less knobs, less softkeys, spongey rubber buttons and a 2" front height better than the S3 or a pair of S1's with a Dock (which is around the same cost and gets you 17 Faders, 25 Knobs, 56 Softkeys and the possibility of high-resolution meters the same as the S6). The Fairlight only has basic Mackie Control support for anything but their own DAW. Whereas EUCON is in PT, Logic, Pyramix and Cubase/Nuendo.
