Thanks, might as well pony up for the WUP then. Unless the latest installer fixes it Waves isn't even supposed to work on Win 7 64-bit. hope that changes soon.

Yea, same here, WUP just ran out. I swear they time upgrades with the expiration of my WUP every time.

64bit, I doubt it. They said at NAMM they haven't even begun, and that the pro side of things will remain 32bit for some time to come.

I hadn't heard that.. which, I suppose, is a good thing since I went ahead and installed it anyways.. They work just fine.

Oddly, PTLE 8.0.4b is working nicely this morning.. I pulled my IK plugs and dumped em.. I tried a few of the waves plugs on an all-audio thing I have and every one of them came up and worked very well..

However, When I instantiated a VI.. well... PT doesn't like VI's right now it seems.. 9128 errors after about a minute of play..

With audio only though, this is the smoothest PT has ever run for me on Win7 64.

(as a side note, I used it for a bit on 8.0.3 WinXP last night and everything worked perfectly... The waves guys are pretty good about getting on things).

I got the W7 32 bit only from the V7 "what's new" page, I guess it is not officially supported.
All my waves plugs are is working fine as well except long reverbs and I don't know if that is Waves or the PT 8.03 Beta.
Otherwise PT 8.03 on WIN 7 64-bit has been a big boost in my plugin counts. Minus LLM that is.
Judging from the general level of wailing an lamentation over the beta I'm lucky.

W7 64bit… I have installed the new Waves and it seems to okay except for an occasional GUI freeze that can be usually be corrected with an ALT+double click on the face of the GUI???? And GTR-3 does not close with Pro Tools, it hangs on and must be closed separately.

Might not hurt to let Waves support know about the GTR hang with Win7 64

Once they release the two new plugs, (anyone know when? I'd have thought by now), there will be a new installer and probably some of the issues with this one will be fixed..

Good to let them know however.

I haven't had much of a chance to mess with r6 of late, but hope to get some time with it later this week. I'll try the gtr3 thing.
