"CPU usage is holding off audio..."-Mbox/Powerbook

I have a G4 Powerbook/1 gig/768 megs of RAM and an Mbox with Pro Tools LE 6.1.

I CONSTANTLY get this error message:

"CPU usage is holding off USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "h/w buffer size" in the hardware set-up panel(-9136)."

All of the obvious things are not causing this. I'm not running other programs. I don't have 30 tracks and 22 plug-ins running. This happens even when I have only (2) tracks running. If I change the settings to 1024 samples and 85% CPU usage, it MIGHT not give that message again, but only for a little while.

Now, my theory is that God hates me. But, I'm posting here for help just in case anyone else has had this error and may have some words of wisdom to keep me from stabbing my screen with a drumstick.

Any help is more appreciated than you could imagine.

Getting a windows-machine will help in this part of the DUC. Then we can help you. For now i advice you to post in the Mac-corner....
