Default PT Not Recognizing My FW Drive ---- Please Help!

Hello.

So I've been using two Lacie drives (one for audio, one for backup) with no problem for months. Yesterday I defragged the drives and now PT won't open any of the sessions. It says there's a problem with the drive allocation, and then if I try to reassign the audio files to the FW drive it says it's not an audio volume. What the hell did I do?

On another note, I called Digidesign and after navigating very irritating menus a recording told me they were too busy and to f-off. THAT is irritating.

Thanks very much for any help!

Just Nick

Find the menu "show workspace" maybe its under windows, etc. You will see that all the drives are labeled with T, R or P . Transfer, Record, or Playback. You can change it (its alt-click or ctrl-click or right click or something) to make your FW drive "R - R". That will do the trick. it must be a Record volume. Also I disable write caching in windows and the drive is more stable.

I would give you more specifics but I am at work and not in front of PTLE right now.

That should do the trick.
