AARRGH! What is a MultiShellCode error??????????

I'm running PT free 5.0.1 on OS 9.1 and everytime I launch DAE I'm told it can't find the MultiShellCode. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times over and to no avail.......

The reference there is to the Digidesign® DSP Manager. Sorry, but I can't remember if Pro Tools Free uses this extension or not. If you have this, try enabling it in your extensions set, and if that doesn't work, try disabling it. Maybe some othe users here can tell you if it is actually part of the Pro Tools Free installation, and if it needs to be active. I'm at home, but I would look at that extension judging from the answerbase result.
