problems with autosave and save in general

Hi,

Been working on a mix for past few days been saving incrementally xyz 1.ptf, xyz 2.ptf, xyz 3.ptf etc etc.
Anyway weird tonight I have been getting these messages saying cannot autosave...if you are saving to a read only drive etc (can't remember) so i pressed save then it says " could not save "xyz1.ptf" because assertion in "CNeolBlock.cpp", line 164".

So I thought...oh no lost work, but i looked at top of the arrangement and it had saved as xyz9.ptf so it seems it has worked.

logged out reloaded and it has loaded fine but still get this message when i save. Should I be worried?

I ahve disabled autosave now in the prefs menu.

Had my first Kernel Panic today with the digi002 after quitting PT7.0 nad immediately loading logic express 6.4...seemed loading the coreaudio mananger was too much.

checked the log and it was "002 firewire etc"

I'm hoping when i restart tomorrow morning that these weird messages will be gone.

PBG4 1.33/768DDR RAM/PT7.0 & 002R/ Lacie D2 ext FW800 drive

any ideas?

Try the first couple of things in the "General Troubleshooting" thread, mainly the deleting of "Digidesign Databases" files.

You can also upgrade to 7.1 which is a little more stable than 7.0 was.
