General Troubleshooting Guide problems..
I just used the General Troubleshooting guide to hone my system and I think it actually made it run worse!
There is a contradiction in there: It says this at the start: "- To Adjust Processor Scheduling Performance: Choose Start > Control Panel. In Classic View, launch System. Click the Advanced tab. Under the Performance section, click the Settings button. Click the Advanced tab. Under the Processor scheduling section, select the Background Services option. Under the Memory Usage section, select System cache option. Click OK twice. You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect." Then this towards the end: " Then click on the Advanced tab and set both Processor Scheduling and Memory Usage to 'Programs.' Close the Performance Options and System Properties windows by clicking 'OK.'" So which one is it?? Also I found that by turning my color mode to 16bit and turning off hardware acceleration for graphics my higher end plugins like my Waves SSL started to blow out and have errors in their display and the level meters would function very jerky and slowly. If you have a decent video card wouldn't you want harware acceleration enabled so that it can do its job? -Ben |

Re: General Troubleshooting Guide problems..
i noticed this the other day and i was also wondering the same. I also expierenced the same problems you described with my ssl bundle.
only thing i can think of is, it does say IF your having problems then try the later suggestion.
