Default Pro Tools 7 Save Session Copy File compatibility

I'm having a problem saving a 7.1 session with 88.2/24 audio files as a version 5.1/6.9 session with an audio file conversion to 44.1/24. The audio files convert, but when I try to open the session on a TDM system running 5.1, the session cannot find the files. I tried to export/consolodate the files and import the resulting 44.1/24 audio files in a new 5.1 session, but I just get a DAE error.

HELP! (thanks)
