Default Structure Free samples?

Hi,

I am a ProTools LE user. I have Structure Free, and it works fine on my computer.

I am teaching a course on electronic music. My college purchased 10 copies of ProTools LE and we have them installed on computers in our lab. It has been working great (I checked out the micro-MBoxes to the students). But Structure Free doesn't work properly.

We use Macs, OSX 10.5.x

My lab is administered by our tech department. That is, they are the computer administrators, and insist on doing the installations (even though they are not music people). They installed Structure Free for me. The Quick start instruments work fine. But the Structure Factory Libraries instruments do not. In the Quick start folder, there are patches and samples. In the Structure Factory Libraries folder, however, there are patches, but no samples.

It looks that way on my computer (which works) and the lab computers (which don't). The lab computers can't load the Structure Factory Libraries instruments because the program says it can't find the samples for them. They can load only the quick start instruments.

I've searched my computer for those samples, but can't find them. Spotlight doesn't know where they are.

Did my tech guys install Structure incorrectly? Does anyone know where Structure supposedly puts the samples for the Structure Factory Libraries? Or anyone know how I can just get this to work (or tell my tech guys how to get it to work)?

Thank you in advance.

The samples are separate downloads from the Structure Free installer.

They are here:

ST free DL

Check with your IT guy to see if they D/L'd and installed all those samples

Also checkout the free samples on the AIR User's Blog:

Good grief ... are these samples 'in addition' to the 30 or so the installer includes on the original PT installation?

Those were installed, I believe. If you look inside of any of those downloads, you'll see only patches. Where are the samples? When I open one of those instruments on one of the lab computers (they DO show up as patches inside the Structure Factory Libraries folder), a message comes up saying that Structure can't find the samples.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I had D/L'd structure free back before I had PT8. I think PT 8 includes the full installer. I have since gotten Structure LE, so my installation process was different. Either way, you can get the samples at the site I linked if you need to... YMMV
