Pro Tools 8 Task Manager frozen, won't do any tasks!
Pro Tools 8 LE with Mbox 001. All of a sudden when I do anything that requires task manager to do it nothing happens. Tasks show up in the list, but are not worked on, there's no progress bar. Drag from browser, even fades won't work. Then, every time, if I close the session Pro Tools quits unexpectedly while closing the session. I've trashed prefs and databases to no avail. Please let me know if you have any advice. Thanks.

While it's not likely, is it possible that you just have the Pause Tasks During Playback setting turned on? You can check by hitting the little arrow in the upper right of the Tasks window. Any time that you have the transport running, PT will pause whatever background tasks it's working on.
