Ronny -

We never qualified any custom built systems for 7.4 HD on Windows, much less one using a Core 2 Quad processor (the closest is the HP xw8600 with Quad Intel processors), so it's very difficult to say if this is an outright incompatibility or merely a setting or configuration issue.

Do you have any other cards installed in the system?

Does your BIOS have any settings for PCI lane distribution? Do you have any RAID or SCSI controllers enabled? You say you've done all the troubleshooting - did that include all the steps in the Pro Tools HD on Windows Setup and General Troubleshooting?

Listen all PC dudes out there.
Hope I can save any other poor musician doing my misstake

I worked 6 days a week 12 hours a day with all LE system in windows it it was NEVER a problem.

Now absolutly NOTHING works with windows and HD
(which sure was my fault too costomizing it)
and i did ALL in all troubleshooting, chance PCI possition et.c.

Today I lend a Mac Pro (first generation) put in my PcIe card.
After 3 month of sheer hopelesness and frustration it worked like a Rolex !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It took 3 minutes to get it working.
Why go over the bridge to get some water, right?

My faith in Pr Tools is restored and the only one to blame is the PC world really...too many diffrent components out there. No computer is the same.

So if u want a HD system do your homework BEFORE you spend [bleep] of money on HD.
So go for the HP or a Mac Pro.
OR build your own if u are more tecnical then me. Well, most of you are I guess he,he..

Today I ordered a Mac Pro so I guess I leave this forum and heading for the Mac forum.

*Crossfading out*
/Ronny
