Jeff is right. This is one reason I went with a full complete upgrade of my room with the best equipment available. I still have a Late 2013 Mac Pro, but it has not given me any trouble with everything else I have upgraded here and will buy a new Mac Pro once I see where that is going. I also stayed on Catalina and it's running perfectly. I takes some time to get things all going and Jeff Komar know this all too well-:). G

No Luck, I tried all the possible combinations from that help website.
I am still getting "Audio device underrun" in the Renderer Log, I do not think Renderer has been tested well by Dolby. I do understand it is a complex piece of software, however if they had told me about these under-run issues I would have stayed away from it. I called protools help line, they punted to the Dolby, and I do not have number to contact Dolby. I think I am stuck! at this time, which is sad, I have promised my client to produce an atmos song track. It is now under jeopardy i guess. hate it when Avid goes silent on know issues.

I am still running High Sierra 10.13.6? should I upgrade to Catalina?
Will AVID OMNI-HD work on it? I have tons of plugs-in etc. I am really nervous to upgrade. Should I? will it fix this buffer under run?

If you're running High Sierra I would suggest meticulously backing everything up and upgrading to Catalina.

It's no surprise to me that you're having issues running Pro Tools 2021.7, Dolby Renderer, High Sierra, on a 2013 Mac Pro.

Even if you upgrade your mileage may vary at times.

One thing you could try doing is Commitng all your tracks in Pro Tools so there is absolutely zero processing for any plugins.

Create a new session with just audio for your source tracks.

Simply let Pro Tools be a playback of your rendered files.

See if you notice any difference in performance.

I totally stayed away from High Sierra, I went from Sierra to Mojave. Then I was told by Avid, (Jeff Komar), so upgrade to Catalina asap..I was a bit nervous, but it went really well this year in March. I had a lot of work, but did not have any issues other than the Movie Bounce issue, which everyone had with 2021.3, which has been more or less resolved well. I would also make sure that you understand that 32 bit software in Catalina going foward in OS X will not run any 32 bit software. Ex. Older MS Word, QT Pro 7 if you use it..etc. Just wanted to say that. I have not really missed either one, but good to know. I actually BTW did NOT do a clean install, but had no issues. I usually run Disk Utility first to check the internal Mac HD in Software Restore mode. Also then did the update. Also you may need to trash your PT prefs, if you have not done already. The set everything up again. Take a lot of screenshots of PT, Dolby Renderer so You have all of your ducks in a row in case you forget your setups in Dolby Renderer, but that should not be really affected.
If you are in the middle of this project, you may just want to advise the client that you are not able to deliver this project right now and just be honest with them until you get things more stable. I see you are still on 2021.r2? I would strongly advise you to update to the latest PT version if at all possible once you get things in a place to do so. 2021.7 is solid here as was, 2021.6.1

So, how long did you run tests of this setup before taking on a project like this? Did you have success prior in any way before moving to the project or projects at hand? I ran tests for a while to make sure things were solid here. Got a lot of good info on watching video webinars online too months back before the room was done. I know this stuff seems daunting, but once you get past this, it should be pretty solid. Dolby also has some Renderer updates coming that were announced a few days ago. Mainly for Silicon M1 Mac compatibility, but I suspect it may be more than that. They are due for some additional features.
