Default Need help - MIDI files with Drums From Hell question

Hello,

Here is the situation:

I have been given MIDI files (drums) from a producer who wants me to use Toontrack's SUPERIOR / Drums From Hell program to play these files (the SAME program that he used to program the drums) - I imagine that this program is close to BFD.

Here are my questions:

1- How can I load the drumkit (sounds) that he used?
2- How can I get the instrument track to read the MIDI files (rhythms) he programmed?
3- Do I need to load each drum separately or can I load the .mid file that says "ALL DRUMS"?
4- On an instrument track, do I need to set a patch #?

(I am using a stereo instrument track, NOT a MIDI track in ProTools to do this.)

At the moment, I am using BFD version 1.5.6 on a ProTools LE system.

Thank you for ANY help that you can give me!

Brian

You would either need DFH (which has been discontinued - DFHS 2.0 is expected in June) or have him send you the drums "printed" as separate files for each drum as audio.

Hi Rail!

...fellow Ocean Way alumni.....

I do have DFH (C&V and Superior Drums).

I can get the samples to play, but I am having trouble linking the instrument track (with the dfh plugin on it) and the recorded MIDI tracks.
