Default Mixer Needed for Album Project - Pros Only

Hello!

I am working with a local singer/songwriter named Debra Soule here in St Paul Minnesota. We are nearing completion of the tracking stage for her 12-song album and have decided to mix the project at a different studio. (The reasons include my lack of objectivity and my lack of experience mixing album-quality music tracks...jingles don't count!

At any rate, I've been calling around and have been unimpressed with my local options. This needs to be a world-class mix. So I thought I'd go "cyber" on this thing and throw out an opportunity to anyone on this board that feels they could handle the gig. I figure in this high-speed Internet age a long distance mix is entirely feasible.

If you're interested please visit this website for more info

Debra Soule Mixer Wanted

Thanks!

I don't think you're going to find many top pros willing to mix an "audition" track for free, submitted to the contest you're apparently holding, as described on your web site.

If you want a pro, why not just hire one through normal channels?

We're not asking anyone to do anything for free. All I said was to let me know if you'd be willing to do the first "audition" track at a discount or on a contingency...not that it was required to do so.

Just wanted to clear that up!

Sounds like you're yanking someone's chain?

Either that, or it's a serious case of 'masterpiece' syndrome?

Either way, slide out that AMEX card...and beg:

East Coast

New facility designed by John Holbrook
w/ live-in accomodations. On Hudson river.

West Coast

http://www.studiodrecording.com/

AMEK surround desk

Sauselito,Ca

Rent a houseboat/motel.

...both Neve/Studer/Pro Tools mix.

BTW- You need a credit card # just to call these places. What were you thinking?

ya know, if they get enough people to answer this add, lets say 12, send each one a different song, they would have the whole album mixed......hhmmm.....

There are some really good people up in the
"Twin Cities". Frankly, just by the verbage and overall "air" of your web page, it comes off like a contest.
So many of these guys on the DUC, that you're addressing, are some of the best around.
With all good intention for your client aside, approach is everything, IMHO.

"PLEASE DON'T CALL US"!!!
You may get your wish.
