Don't be sorry for being new to this!!! I would say just give it a try. If it sounds good - your golden.

If I understand you, it works great. I often go through my effects processor straight into Digi, but Bypass all effects (and of course, that means no amp). So go for it...

My chain:

guitar>pedals>outboard compressor>001(preamp)>Amplitube Plugin

Should the compressor and pedals be switched or does it matter? Thanks

Default Recording Guitar with Amplitube

I don't have an Amp so I need to use Amplitube but I also want to use my pedal board. So would it sound funny to go through my pedal board into the preamp in the 001 and then use amplitube in PT at the same time?

Sorry for being such a newbie!

go and try it out for free. They have a demo-version on the website (www.amplitube.com) wich is fully functional but adds noiseblasts in the signal.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">In the real world this is exactly the kind of setup used (not necessarily with the compressor). The output of your pedal board would go into the input of your amp if you had one ... instead of this you're using a virtual amp - amplitube! As others have said "try it" ... I'm guessing this should work quite well.
