Default Thank you Digi/Avid for cs2

Both my laptop and studio putters are working fine in 8.0.3 cs2!
Can we put this code to rest?

I'd personally give it a good 8-16 weeks out in the field before issuing a "thank you" myself. I'll remain optimistic, but only over a span of time and in the hands of everyone who has seen this problem will we really know that it's truly fixed.

Gees Shane, when did you get so jaded? And I probably should have mentioned my laptop is still Vista and the studio is XP.

When they told us they fixed it twice in the past already a few years back, and it clearly wasn't. Including a former cs update for the exact same issue. As I mentioned in my post, I remain optimistic, but more use and time will really tell if it's truly fixed. This isn't the first time they issued a cs and told us they fixed it.

The first report of the WNB in 8.0.3cs2 appears. We're not off the hook yet. There goes my optimism for a definitive solution.

I thought you were good with the 8.0.4b drivers according to this below:

And if you read this post you may be able to get a clear result, although when I set the buffer to 128, I'll get some distortion but not the Robotic stuff.

I am not getting any of the distortion issues in 8.0.3/4b. I was speaking of those who are still getting them. I have stated that these W7 issues have been solved for me and they have, but obviously not for everyone else. The W7 rig is actually my current main client rig now and has been very stable but I don't feel comfortable recommending it to others due to the distortion and instability issues some are still experiencing. DTS has said these issues are being addressed soon. We'll see.

Oh ok. My next step for the laptop is getting a express firewire card and hopefully that will solve the minor distortion issues on the laptop. I really think for my system that it's the drive.

It could be. This version is the most hardware sensitive I have ever seen, but it is a beta.
