MBox Pro > Delta 1010 some questions

Greetings all,

I have a new Mbox Pro and a friend has a Delta 1010 that he will offer to me.

I have had some problems with the MBox Pro and thought I would like to try out the Delta 1010.

My main grip is that when I boot with the MB Por, the system (XP Sp3 all updated drivers, 6600, 4 gig, 2 pata drives. Correct Firewire Ti chipset on pci card and upgraded FW cable, with an Asus MB P5K pro.) sees the Mbox and I get the Xp greeting music. (gotta change that !) But the system is all in sync. When I launch PT 7.4 the audio disappears. The TRacks are playing in PT, just no audio. THis is with a new sessions and existing sessions. I then have to back out, remove the FW cable from the Mbox Pro and then re launch PT. Sometimes I have to do this 3-5 times before I get audio.


Back to my question. When I install the card and the drivers. with the gear, will my PT LE see the Delta 1010? Can this upgrade work seamlessly? I should say, do I have a chance that it will work?

So this "not hearing audio" is a new development in your workings with PT, then? If so, have you changes anything at all?

So I cannot use LE with the Delta. shoot.


Lets say that this has been occurring since I put together the system about 6 weeks ago. I did call in and speak to a Digi tech said who said that they have heard of this issue from a small sampling of users. He said that it was usually from systems that are not on the "approved" list.

I do not think it would be anything in hardware. They Mbox works on initial boot it is just when you launch PT's that the sound cuts out. I figure that this is just the way it is. I can waste a few hours trying to trouble shoot the problem or just run through the connect/re-connect.

What are the specs on your system?

Do you know how to do a "Sandra" report? If you post one here, I'll volunteer one of the "veterans" to help you.
