Default Cherry Audio Has Outdone Themselves - The Mercury 6 is out

Cherry Audio has outdone themselves with the release of their new CA Mercury 6,which is a fantastic emulation of the famous Roland Jupiter 6. I picked it up last night and I can't stop playing with it. Haven't had this much fun with a new synth since I bought my first one back in the 80's.

This VI sounds great, easy to program, and it looks so much like the original Jupiter 6 you'll almost think that's what you're playing! And its at a give away price of only $49. This is a no brainer. Just go get it! You'll thank me later!

Hi Donald, I haven't tried this yet. I see there looks to be a global effects Off/Bypass button. That's good. My main gripe with Cherry is they do an emulation but add stuff like effects. Quality of life additions I like, for instance extra polyphony or tuning options. But the effects bother me for some reason.

A really great company. I loved Lowdown and the Juno 106, so I'll be trying this out.

The good thing is, you can always bypass those. Personally, I like the few extra additions. So many features weren't even available when some of these vintage synths were first released, but had they been, no doubt they would've been included in the originals.

More than anything what impresses me about Cherry Audio is the quality of the sound. The Mercury 6 so so much like the Juno 6. And, its just as easy to create sounds on as the Juno was.

Cherry are a worth company worth investing in. I have a good few of their offerings and they are a great Galaxy to find oneself in the Universe Of Synth Sounds™ 😵*💫 Softube get use a quite a lot use in my bread and butter synth classics and Cherry are a worthy contender and easier on the wallet! Arturia are the third axis in this world and you can't go wrong with any of these.

Do I need this Jupiter 6 offering? Well, I am more a JP-8 and Juno 106 guy have owned and loved them both. However, I am glad those days are long gone and prefer to have them all in my laptop. All that said, I will likely pick it up when the price is hard to resist!
