Default need help wigh new MBOX LE 8 3rd generation

I would appreciate any advice on my setup.
I have just installed a new Pro Tools LE 8 MBOX (3) on a PC running Windows 7 62 bit.
The install went fine with no errors. The bundle I purchased has instrument plugins and fx plugins to play with but evidently they didn't install. When I go to my digidesign folder from the cd drive, I can see a folder where I think they all are but im not sure how to get them installed.

My 2nd questions is concerning my mic audio. Im running an Audio Technica AT4040, and I can only hear my mic when the record feature is activated. When I lay down a voice track it sounds like im speaking in chorus through my headphones but on playback the voice track is normal. Its almost like im getting a weird return through cans. Thank u in advance for the help.

You may have an install disk with corrupted data. Setup an Avid account & register your product then get Avid to deposit a downloadable Installer version into your account.

Are you listening in Low Latency mode? Sounds like it's a latency issue with your Mic. Check your pdf file on installer disk "Pro Tools Reference Guide" and search for low Latency Mode.
