Pro tools LE crossgrade issue
So i purchased the pro tools 9 crossgrade for LE. I have a Mbox 2 micro and it still asks for an ilok for pro tools 9. I thought the Mbox micro was the ilok for my LE. Do i seriously need to go get an Ilok?

Pro Tools 9 is not LE. Pro Tools 9 requires an iLok which you need to purchase and create an account for yourself on the iLok website then let Avid know that info so your license can be sent to your iLok account where you download it to your iLok. This is all described in your Pro Tools 9 documentation.
Although Pro Tools LE used a digi-interface for basic licensing those interfaces are not an "iLok"and don't offer any of the license download/management capabilities an iLok does. Darryl |

Re: Pro tools LE crossgrade issue
Ok, well that actually makes alot of sense. It's a bit of a shame that i have to go out and get an ilok but oh well it is what it is.
