PT 5.1.3 for freezes when launching

Hi i'm a new PT MIX24 user. The mix3 system i've bought is installed on a G4 Dual 1Ghz MDD Mac with Mac OS 9.2.2 and 1.25 Gb of RAM. I'm experiencing problems with PT startup: the PT 5.1.3cs11 application freezes when launching. Especially it stalles when loading plugins... is there any known way out to such issue or shuold i begin to unistall all the plugs and verify if there's some incompatibilities?? PT 5.1.3 seems very problematic, actually i didn't think!!! Can i find somewhere a manual for optimizing the system performance?? I know it's quite an old system but it should ROCK!! The original manual doesn't give me any good advice...

I would start with the compatibility docs found here:

Should you still run into the same crash during the loading of plug-ins, it might indeed prove useful to take them all out of the Plug-ins folder [except for the applicable mixer(s), of course], and then re-add them one at a time (or in batches) to “smoke out” the bad guys.

As for the original Digidesign documentation, be aware that, in addition to the Reference Guide, you also need the “Expanded Systems” and the “Getting Started” guides. If those are somehow missing from what you were sold, you can download them from Digi’s web site, HERE.

i read all the manuals u hinted to...but i found nothing about such issue! Strangely enough everything seemed to work before adding few plugins. Now i removed them but nothing solved yet!! Should i reset something??
