Pro Tools 9 cross-grade help

Hello guys, I cross-graded my Pro Tools LE8 to Pro Tools 9 a while back: I have recently bought a new interface and want to sell my old Digidesign one. Can I sell Pro Tools LE8 with that interface are is the authorisation still linked to my copy of Pro Tools 9?

Don't see why not because your authorization for PT9 is on your iLok & the authorization for PT8 is a serial number, In other words two totally separate entities.

The only issue is (and anyone selling older versions of PT should make the new buyer aware) that your copy of PT8 has already been used for a cross-grade so won't be able to be used again. Therefore if the new owner wants to upgrade to PT9, they'll have to pay full price.

So your iLok will run your PT9, & the serial number + Digidesign hardware interface will run PT8.
