HDX on Harprtown MAC PRO

Is it true that the HDX card will not work on a MAC PRO with the HARPERTOWN processors? When or will Avid have HDX support on windows machines?

It is absolutely true. System Requirements page has now been updated to reflect this.

I have no idea about the Windows thing.

Hi,

From what i have read! the problem lies with the harpertown not being able to do the firmware updates! so possibly will still work other than this issue.

Maybe firmware updates could be done from another computer if needed????

Dang...well if this is the case then I'm out of the HDX upgrade. Card/interface trade in is right at the top of the cash I want spend. If I have to get a new mac pro then I'll just have to wait. Plus getting a new computer right now with Mac Pro's in limbo is just not a good idea.
