G4/350AGP won\'t boot with ATTO
We just upgraded from beige G3 to G4/350AGP. For this we changed our 3940UW for a dual channel UW ATTO card and haven't been able to solve the following problem: When connecting any UW drive (tried several workin drives) to the ATTO on the G4, the computer won't boot, but if we disconnect the drive it boots fine. The ATTO has been updated with the most recent firmware (1.4.4). Any suggestions?

Re: G4/350AGP won\'t boot with ATTO
Will the CPU boot with the ATTO installed but the drives powered off?
How many drives do you have on the ATTO? ------------------ --Steve Rosenthal, Digidesign ETS

Re: G4/350AGP won\'t boot with ATTO
I had the same lovely experience. You must UPDATE DISK DRIVERS inside of ExpressPro-Tools 2.3 software. The only way I could achieve this was to turn the drives off on bootup, and then turn them back on after desktop appears, go to ExpressPro-Tools 2.3, scan the buss, and then write the new drivers. Good luck.
