Default Panning (or lack of)

I know it's something that you would think is obvious, but for what ever reason, I didnt notice until last night. I've lost the ability to pan tracks.

Sure I can move the pan fader left and right, but the signal doesnt move left and right. The volume seems to decrease when I pan, but I'm not able to track the signal thru the stereo field.

It's not a monitor issue, because the same thing happens when I'm monitoring thru headphones.

I've recently upgraded to 6.4, and I was wondering if that had anything to do with it. Maybe there is an option that needs to be toggled on or off?

Please help, this is driving me mad!

Hit the mono button on your Digidesign hardware.

I'm Sorry Rail, I have a 001 and dont recall seeing a "Mono" button. A couple of pads, phantom power, a monitor toggle, but no "mono" button. Are you suggesting there is some sort of software toggle?

Then check your wiring... pay attention to grounding. There are no options in the software which would cause this unless you panned your tracks up the middle.

FYI,
I discovered the problem. I had been using Dverb on the master channel. It seems that certain verbs mask the ability to pan. Silly me.

I think that's a bug in d-verb.
