Default ProTools 2021.12 bugs?

Is anyone using ProTools 2021.12 yet and any issues? I'm always reluctant to go to the latest bleeding edge version, but am going into an extended period of work soon and don't want to upgrade during the project, so rather do it now if it is safe.

Only thing bugging PT right now is Apple's transition from Intel hardware to Apple Silicon. New computers must run either Big Sur or Monterey, and especially Monterey is still so buggy that it may take some time until Avid can release an Apple Silicon native PT software that they can actually support.

I bit the bullet and am testing the bleeding edge with this maxed out M1 mac mini, and while things look promising it is not there yet.

On a MacBook Pro M1 Max running OS12.2 and PT2021.12.
PT hangs on "Waiting for video engine to start".
Starting without video engine enabled, PT is working, had to do some plugin updates. if I try to start the video engine after PT is running, it will hang "Waiting for video engine to start".
I've seen online on YouTube video working on the M1 Max, so not sure why mine is not working. Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers
Bruce

Pro Tools 2021.10/12 is working fine on M1 processors in Rosetta on machines that can run Big Sur, it is macOS Monterey that is the current issue. I respectfully disagree that Monterey is buggy. There were memory leak issues with 12.01, which in my couple of days of running 12.1, seem to have been solved.

Pro Tools 2021.12 is screaming fast in Rosetta on my new 14" M1Pro MacBook Pro. The Avid Compete Bundle, which is STILL using a 3-4 year old build of iLok, is the complete disaster. There also seem to be problems with Isotope plugins, so it's not a useful system until Avid and other plugin manufacturers get Monterey support together.

I suspect Avid will get Monterey support in Rosetta done in first quarter of 2022 (as has been the timeline in the past) long before we see an M1 native PT. I think that will be a year off but I hope I'm wrong.

Whoops, I meant OS12.1.
And now I've got it working. A complete wipe and re-install of OS and PT and video is working!

On a Mac Pro (Early 2009) running macOS 10.15.7 (19H15), I recently installed Pro Tools | Ultimate 2021.12.0.
Does it happen to anyone else that when switching to Clips/Markers Grid mode, Pro Tools draws grid lines in random (approx. 10 sec) intervals and clips can not be snapped to actual markers or clips?
Here is a screenshot of an empty session with this happening:

If you are going to Monterey on a new M1 build your PT environment from scratch. I moved the first over and it didn't work well. I stripped it back down, reinstalled everything from scratch and most has been well since. The things that run do so well (some of it screams) but there are some things that aren't compatible just yet.
