Have activated it but still have no access to the support portal. It wants a machine i.d.?

You can enter the code at https://avid.secure.force.com/ASC/ASCWebToCaseHomePage to start your case. If not, get a case going for CS using the code in your account. Sorry for the delay!

We've got a different Transfer Of Ownership dilemma: we've just been told by Avid licensing that we CANNOT transfer the ownership of our Avid Carbon hardware interface that's properly registered in the studio's Avid Master Account. As per support's directions, our initial TOO form was submitted back on 11/22/21.

We're NOT trying to transfer any PT software subscriptions or licenses - just the Carbon hardware.

We have an ASC case, but this has been going on for many days. The overseas support folks want to help, but to no avail. I'm quite familiar with the TOO process from private equipment sales going back into the '90s, but this all seems odd.

Can anyone on the forum help?

Sorry for the trouble. Likely due to the bundled Subscription (which is not transferable). I'll check in with the CS rep to see what can be done and have them reply via the case.

Hi, maybe somebody can solve this issue. I have two licenses for Pro Tools. One is the newest Pro Tools with an active support plan. I have a second license which is expired already and which I rarely needed. This one I sold to somebody and started the TOO process. That means , although I have a running support plan and I am an Avid customer since the 90's I had to buy a support code for 84.-Euros. I started the case. Loaded the form. They have everything they need. Now 5 days are gone and I had one response that my TOO process will be processed. I wrote a few emails cause I did not get any response since 4 days. The buyer is a little nervous already. What is it about, what is happening with that company??. Does somebody have the same experiences. Thanks for your answers.

Yep. Same experience. I bought a second-hand PT license in 2020 - TOO took almost a month.
