Default Re: Is the screen Redraws feeling sluggish to anybody else

I had the same issue.
Pro Tools was basically unusable after the upgrade to Bug, Sir.
I rolled back to Catalina and will probably stay there with my 2018 mini until I eventually move to Apple Silicon when all the plugs and apps I need have been ported to native support.
It‘s super annoying to see how Apple break working systems on a yearly basis, but since PT does not work on Linux we have no choice.

about once a year for fun i boot up PT 10.3.10 on Mavericks 10.9.5 and am consistently blown away by how responsive the edit window is.

of course, you're missing all the PT 2021 features...

but...

it's fast.

Yep. Just updated to Big Sur and gui lag and screen redraws are sloppy and sluggish. Add to that the whole HDX card not showing up until you go in and do a bunch of terminal commands and restarts. Funny how AVID actually posted 11.6 on their compatibility charts as ok with 2021.10. Good way to get free beta testing I guess.
