Default Sonnet Thunderbolt Chassis NOW QUALIFIED

Though it is not yet posted to the Avid website, Sonnet's Echo Express III-R and Echo Express III-D finally completed AVID certification, and are good to GO.

Just FYI for those with laptops who want to jump.

Just a heads up, I ordered a sonnet echo express SE-II almost 2 months ago, and it has not shipped yet even though sonnet announced that these started shipping on January 16. I ended up buying an OWC Helios as a temporary solution, I think there is a pretty big backlog of orders for the sonnet boxes, since they are currently the only Thunderbolt 2 pcie box.

Great... Especially since mine has been ordered and delivered. Initial tests with HDX and a MacMini were good. Now just waiting on the new MacPro to ship. Is it March yet ?

The fan is a little loud. If you want it in your room, you might want to put it in your isolation cabinet where you kept the old Mac Pro. Have it with the HD IO and the Burl in a cab and all is good. Have had the unit running with Mac Book Retina, New Mac Pro, HDX, the UAD Octo Card now. One note, Sonnet are about an hour from me, so it is very easy to get their product. Nice people as well.
