I personally would have said "did dun use"

So you upgraded to the support plan? Why don't you contact avid via the channels they gave you access to when you signed up for the plan?

Slow down, take a deep breath and try again.

First off - did you set up your iLok.com account and download the ILM software and run it BEFORE registering PT? Then you have to re-run the ILM to sync your iLok2 (you do have an iLok2 right?) to get the new PT license asset onto it.

Second - is your iLok2 plugged into a working USB port? USB3 ports have been known to cause issues reading the iLok and usually the remedy is plugging the iLok into a USB hub and then plug that into the computer port.

Third - are your USB ports always active? You don't give us any system info but if you're on Windows as part of power saving they are by default set to power down after a certain amount of inactivity. That can be remedied by changing settings in Windows Control panel. Macs don't turn off their USB ports as power saving is on a system-wide basis (and you never want your system to sleep or power down anything except when you go to shut down the computer).

Fourth - because you don't give any system info we're grabbing at straws trying to come up with remedies. There is a 'help us to help you' lionk at the top of every page here - that's info we need.

I use two different Macs. One of them gets this error with Iloc not being there when it is. If I remove and replug the Ilok, the error goes away for that session. PITA, I know.
If that works for you, could I get an autograph Larry?
Sorry, couldn't stop myself.
