Default Moving working area of the timeline in controllable increments

Moving working area of the timeline in controllable increments.
I'm editing 17 hours of talking and I'd like to move the timeline in increments to keep up with what I'm working on. As it is now I click in front of the CTI and it moves the working area a full screen forward, but it's always too far and I have to back track a little to start editing where I left off. Is there a parameter or keystroke to move the screen but not so far?
Thanks,
Steve

Unlink edit & timeline selection, then during playback tap the down arrow, followed by the left, or right arrow, to centre the screen around the edit cursor position (of course you will lose your existing edit selection this way).

Alternatively, use Shift + scroll wheel on your mouse.

Options>Edit Windows Scrolling>Continuous or Center Playhead

In the current version of Pro Tools, you can change scrolling modes while in play (couldn't in previous versions -- you had to stop playback to change modes.) I've put "no scrolling" and "continuous scrolling" on shortcut keys so I can switch while working.

Continuous or Center Playhead scrolling will not do a full page jump at a time so your work area will stay on-screen.

You can also move the Cursor/Play Head forward or back by the Nudge value if that would help.
