Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
typically when that happens, there is something...some sort of audio sliver that is keeping it running. Make sure that there are no "hidden tracks" or almost deleted audio somewhere. That happened to me b4 and it was a tiny sliver of deleted audio left.

Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
Thanks, citi. I bet I have some hidden tracks with extra audio. I'll check it out.

Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
Just highlight what you want to bounce.
That's all there is to it... dk

Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
Is there any way to define the end of the song? It would make scrolling with the scroll bar less sensitive.

Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
Have you tried placing markers at the beginning and end of the song? If you have any markers placed, just click on one of them (say, "Start"), then shift-click on the other marker (say, "End"). This is exactly the same as "highlighting" the desired area to bounce.
At this point, your tape counter, in "Time" mode, should indicate the right length of the song. Bounce away --- you should be fine! By the way, this is also a great way to, for example, loop the chorus, or otherwise define a certain area for playback or recording. |

Delete unused space at end of a song?
Hello.
How does one elilminate the unused space at the end of a song? Unused "tape" continues to scroll by even though tracks are totally empty and audio files have ended. On a bounce to disk, all this space ends up on the file. Thanks for helping with a slightly uninteresting problem. Chas

Re: Delete unused space at end of a song?
It has to do with your arrangement being too short.
Try adding a 20 minute drum solo to help fill the space. Actually... just select the start and ending points of the audio before you BTD. |
