Re: SYS SOUNDS THRU 001 when booted from non-PT partition
Go into your extensions folder on your protools partition and move the three or so Digi extensions to your extensions folder on your other partition. Works fine for me.

SYS SOUNDS THRU 001 when booted from non-PT partition
I have a partitioned system drive (with one partition tuned specifically for its PTLE app, and the other partition tuned for internet, email and most other apps).
And I know how to get system sounds to play through my 001 interface when booted from my PTLE partition. MY QUESTION IS: is it possible to get system sounds to play thru the 001 interface when I'm booted from my non-PTLE partition.? When I go to Sound Manager there is no "Digidesign" option there. Do I need to place anextension or driver somewhere? Do I need PTLE installed on that partition to have the 001 option in Sound Manager? Am I barking up the wrong tree? Thanks, victor |

Re: SYS SOUNDS THRU 001 when booted from non-PT partition
Thanks Shawn for your help. I'm still having trouble, tho ...
I moved: Digidesign® Direct I/O Digidesign® DSP Manager Digidesign® Sound Drivers DigiSystem™ INIT to my non-PT partition and, although I DO now have the Digidesign option in Sound Manager, and I CAN select it, I'm not getting th system sounds thru the 001 interface. Any ideas? -- victor |
