I'll pass on your idea about opening Pro Tools sessions and turning pages early.

Currently, there's no way for Scorch to pull out lyric text from the staves and display it on its own on a part, say, but you can do this yourself in the Sibelius file. You can create a new part and hide the stave, notes and other text (using a 'No instrument (hidden)' Instrument Change and hiding items so they only appear in the score and not the part). This will then allow you to just see the lyrics on a part.

@HiHat: Adding convenient page turns is something you can do in Sibelius too. In Layout, Auto Breaks you can set these to be done automatically or you can add your own system and page breaks manually yourself.

I'll pass these suggestions on to see if we can include them in Scorch too as I can certainly see the benefit of doing this on the iPad directly.

@Mark: Yes, this is already on the list.

Also @Everyone, we have released an update to Scorch 1.0.2, which fixes the issues with duplicating scores, re-ordering and removing scores from the device while Scorch is not running.

Hi Adam,

Something I was just about to post on the support page:

"If you still can't hear any sound, it could be because another one of your apps has prevented Scorch from playing audio (sometimes this means that you can only hear sound if you set the iPad's side switch to perform the mute/unmute function). In this case, try restarting your iPad to reset the audio session settings."

not necessarily opening pro tools sessions files, but to CHASE a running pro tools rig!

Hi

Just downloaded the Avid Scorch App. I was a bit sceptical if the app would work with focus on staves turned on - turns out it works!

I am frequently creating new scores and changing old scores and think it would be great if there was an app for PC/Mac that allowed you to sync with the Avid Scorch app without having to go through Dropbox or iTunes filesharing - these services add an extra step that could be cut out. Something like Documents To Go's desktop app would be quite nice.

An alternative to this would be for the app to have Dropbox Support built in.

I know this might take a while but for many people this would be a great time saving feature.

Hallo, I read music in music stand mode and have zoomed in to get a little bigger notes. When tapping to see the following notes the next page comes up. It should be conveniant if the app scrolled down to show the rest of the page instead. And at the next tapping turned over to the next page! Is this possible to arrange? I am very glad for the app and that I can put all my music in the iPad instead of carrying all sheets of paper! Thank you!

A fairly consistent problem I have been having is that the keyboard will sometimes not pop up in My Scores and the Scorch Store and I have to reset my iPad for the keyboard to pop up.
