2021 Scorch still being updated??

Is sibelius scorch still in development or have updates been abandoned?

I havent seen any response from a representative from avid on this site for a couple of years. I think they have had our money and this product is now dead and at some time it will stop working like so many other apps when apple update ios In the future.

Within sibelius the normal scorch has been dropped With the idea of some other publishing format but i dont know where that has got as ive given up on the sibelius forum.

the only beta for ios scorch have been to check compatibility with the latest sibelius format and that was 2018.4.

I have given up, its still buggy for me and i have too many scores in it to make it usable so i made the switch to forScore years ago and just monitor this site occasionally when im board. While Its a pain having to export scores as pdf and not have the playback option but forScore is very feature rich and is stll being supported and developed.

Just curious, has anyone used Scorch IOS on iOS 14.

I’ve been very pleased with my the App and have loaded several hundred jazz leadsheeets.

This allows me to transpose to any key.

I’m scared to update should I lose this usefulness.

Still on 13.5.

I found lots of other apps no longer worked last time i upgraded and nothing i need only works on 14 so havent bothered.

Being able to transpose is a great function but no set list and the terrible way of ordering scores with no quick go to is too limiting for me so prefer the metadata in forscore and have a number of scores in different keys So have a library of well over 500 pdfs and growing weekly.

But enjoy scorch while you still can.

No question forScore is the way to go. I use it constantly.

You may be interested in this kink. It provides bookmarks to several common fake books to “link” to in forScore.

I don’t use it as I also have iGigBook from where most of these indexes come from. I have many of the books in C,Bb, Eb and bass clef which allowed some transposition.

If you go here, Bob can send you his own collection. He prefers email to download link publicly. He is the one who gave me most of my Sib leadsheets.

Not sure what for. If you look at the version history in the app store, it was last updated 3 years ago to support sibelius 2018.4 files. There has been an update by apple for their certificate but nothing else.
