Pro Tools 10 Calculating Overview

So I've been having this huge problem,

whenever i open my session that I've recorded which was on another computer (PC), I transferred the files to my mac open it... relink the files, did a little bit of mix.. save the file... opened again.

Then there's this Task manager that pops up and says calculating overview, I've been waiting for hours, still nothing.. that blue bar's not moving BUT whenever I play the recording right now, there's this REALLY REALLY loud hiss or white noise that goes on for the whole song. The waveforms look normal, there's no plug ins at all. tried restarting my computer, restarting pro tools. I cant fix it..

Anybody got any ideas?

To me it sounds like there is some funk going on with the files.
I would through out the audio files with "edit follows region" un checked
And then just lay in your clean files. That way your mix is retained as long as
You have your clean file. Try to play the files in another software. Like QT and see
If the files are playing fine. I bet the files are corrupt.
