+1!!!

I'm working from day one with the dark mode and a calibrated 30" Monitor and have no complaints at all.

Agreed. Can the builtin screen on a MacBook Pro be calibrated? Or is that just something for external monitors? I can adjust the brightness and color temp, but currently it is set to default values.

Once upon a time you used to be able to adjust all sorts of settings for the monitor in OSX. You were supposed so make a grey central circle fit as much as possible with the background. This functionality seems to have disappeared in the last, say, five years. Now it is just color temperature, I think. What happened there?

I'm not disagreeing, but it's not like there hasn't been a BAZILLION threads on *exactly* how Pro Tools looks recently (this one got up to 49 pages! http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t...k+mode&page=49), so it's obviously important to some people.

Took me a bit to get used to. The first gen was not good, but I am working with the new gen for about a month and I don't see myself gong back to the old classic mode. G

I still hate dark mode, I'm a classic guy. To make music you don't need a calibrated display.

To OP, switch Pro tools to classic look and you're good to go.

I dig it... To each their own. Choices are the name of the game.

I enjoy Dark Mode quite a bit and classic seems lame to me now

I have been getting PLENTY of work done in Dark Mode. I also think it looks better on a Retina display.

Love dark mode. I'm so used to it that classic mode burns my 51 year old retinas when I see it.

You can still do this, hold option when clicking "calibrate". This will give you the the expert options to adjust. At least on Mojave it still does.
