Hi Chris,

I've run some tests, I think I can confirm that the MIDI bug is legit as well. Guess nobody else is trying to control external gear via MIDI other than me :P

No problem. It was a real bug and deserved attention. That would be an annoying bug for people who use the Green a lot.

So im not the only one. I'll see if I can re-create it and screen grab it if I have time. It doesn't seem to happen every time, just once in awhile, which is why I have never brought it up before.

Im actually not surprised it took this long to find. I have only made a couple presets with the Green, but once the preset is made, I don't usually ever adjust anything - and there are probably many people who do the same.

But the biggest reason I am not surprised is because for clean sounds, you all out did yourselves with the DC Modern and Vintage Clean amps - amazing sounding amps.

By they way I have confirmed that the DYN III compressor is also suffering from a bug. I will post a video. I havent had time to go through everything that may affect this, but can confirm the compressor does not actually work until you nudge the ratio, then it kicks in. In my other post i was thinking it was the Threshold knob, but its the Ratio knob.

I probably should have said something about this sooner.

I made another thread for the DYN III bug.

I just got around to recording the behavior.

I was thinking it was the Threshold knob, but it was that the threshold has no effect until the ratio knob is nudged. I posted a new thread for it with a video included.

I think I understand what's going on here...

This can be reproduced using only the ER front panel controls, BTW.

It seems that when you load a patch with the RB-01b Grn amp (or come back from tuner mute), the Boost knob setting is honored. When you change the Bright switch, it's as-if the Boost gets goosed to 10.

Try this: set Boost at 10 and see whether you get the same unexpected volume/grit increase when you change Bright. I don't.

I too have been noticing the bright switch bug on the XTC Green. I thought I was crazy until I ran across this thread, lol. So is this going to be addressed in a future release and if so, when? Thanks -Frank

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Look at the dates from the original posts, it seems pretty grim.

I would love to be wrong.
