Default 10+ sec delay loading plugins with 2022.4 update

It's not every plugin or every time, haven't found an obvious pattern to it, but some sessions seems to just start doing this randomly. Can be anywhere from maybe 5 second delay to maybe 15-20 max. Never had this problem before. I've uninstalled, deleted protools folder from appdata, reinstalled. Same issue.

Prior to this update I hadn't updated protools in about a year (i skipped at least one update if not 2 / I think i had the version where darkmode was first added). Not sure what version # I was in but I had no issue like this at all. No other obvious changed to the system. I did install some avid plugins I never had installed before and updated the HD driver to the latest.

Anyone else experiencing similar? Any ideas to try before I uninstall and downgrade to the older version that seemed stable for me?

Try trashing preferences. The first restart after that *will* be slow as all plugins are rescanned, but what are subsequent ones like?

Try disabling or uninstalling any antivirus crapware, including Windows defender. A leading cause of startup performance issues on Windows.

I'm out of date with code signing/authentication on Windows but try disconnecting your computer entirely from any network and trying again just in case it is related to code signing/authentication.

You tried all three things suggested? You don't have antivirus installed? etc.

15 seconds per plugin when it's slow or 15 seconds to start loading all plugins?

yes tried everything.

15 seconds to add a plugin. Not loading on protools start up but in the session while working. Just spins and eventually loads. Really messes with flow.

Doh Sorry I totally was confused and I thought it was initial startup loading of plugins.

no worries. Just to be extra clear, for example, i open up soothe2 and it stalls out for about 25 seconds. I open up decapitator and it stalls out about 15 seconds. Fab-q, loads instantly. Go to audiosuite to apply a reverse to something, 10 sec. Prior to the update my computer ran great. No delays at all like this. Everything felt snappy and pretty instant, even in massive mix sessions.

Pretty sure dark mode was introduced in version 2020.11.

Just out of curiosity, do you notice slow loading of plugins that use a certain authorization type. Like all my iLok plugins load slow, but non iLok ones load quickly or vice versa?

How did you install the update? Did you uninstall the old version first or install 2022.4 over it? Can you provide any system info?

All plugins are ilok. I first installed over previous version, then as an attempted solution i uninstalled fully, including deleting appdata folder. I could try uninstalling again and literally deleting every folder. Copying plugin folder to desktop temporarily.
