Default 8.0.4 Kicked me in nads and stole my lunch money...

Basically how I feel about 8.0.4 right now... Its making me look bad in front of clients....
I dont have time to go back to an earlier version we are working on 4 projects at once, but I think I am going to dial back. Has anyone gone back from .0.4?

What are you running it on, and what problems are you having?

There is the ever popular "Some regions had invalid bounds and were adjusted or deleted" error.

Assertion errors and crashes 3 or 4 times a day.
I am trashing prefs every morning now.

All plugs are up to date etc. Its just buggy shiz. Unpredictable random crap.

We know about the 'invalid bounds' issue and are working on a fix.

The assertions you should not be having - can you zip up your Log Files folder (from inside your Pro Tools folder) directly after you experience an assertion and upload them, providing a link in this thread to the download?

I can probably get some info from them that may help in determining the source of the assertions...

OSX ver.?

Any Izotope stuff? Are you sure your plugs are up to date?

I realize checking this stuff takes time you probably don't have, but it could just be one silly plug messing up everything.

Otherwise... next time, clone the system drive, and put it on another physical drive before updating. That way, you can just swap the drive if it gives you any troubles. Saves a lot of headaches.

will do on the crash logs.
Yes I ONLY have Waves Mercury going and Syncro Arts Voc Align plus the stuff that comes with Pro Tools so there isn't anything funky in there.

DIGI Support, can you please email me off the forum, [email protected] so I can reply to you with said zipped folder?
Thank you.
